Mission Scan: Error Correction (Page 17)

  1. No other team is better than the Falcons this season. (Removed "more")
  2. The results will be announced tomorrow by the committee. (Passive voice correction)
  3. How quickly the work finished, didn't it? (Tag question matches the verb "finished")
  4. He seldom arrives late for practice. (Removed double negative "doesn't")
  5. The museum was so crowded that we could not see anything. (Too...that is incorrect; use so...that)
  6. What a breathtaking view it is from here! (Removed "seen")
  7. Let the mobile phones be switched off during the play.
  8. The Nile is longer than any other river in the world.
  9. She is as smart as her sister. (Positive degree used in "as...as")
  10. No sooner did the bell ring than the players started to warm up.
  11. Until you finish the worksheet, you cannot leave. ("Until" implies the condition; "don't" is redundant)
