SSC CGL Examination Pattern
If you
are preparing for SSC CGL examination then you are good place now, here I have
given a complete overview of full syllabus for the examination. Keep in mind
that to get a good post in SSC you must have to crack all the tiers with good
marks or above marks than average students. You must keep in mind that the most
important key of success for SSC is perseverance and full dedication. Without
this you can't get marks in SSC.
SSC CGL Tier- I: This Examination is conducted online comprising of 4
different sections with 100 questions in total and with maximum marks of 200.
The entire exam is needed to be completed in a time limitation of 60 minutes.
SSC CGL Tier- II: This examination is conducted online comprising of 2
different sections with 100 + 200 questions in total (Mathematics and English)
and with maximum marks of 200. The entire exam is needed to be completed in a
time limitation of 120 minutes.

This Examination
is a Computer Skill Test. It will be conducted in two steps: DEST Test &
CPT Test.

CPT:
Computer Proficiency Test
DEST:
Candidates are required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer. This
test is conducted to check a candidate's typing skills on computer.
CPT: This test is conducted to check a candidate's proficiency in Microsoft Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Generation of Slides and Presentation (PPT).
Once the candidate has been given his/her first available preference,he/she will not be considered for the other options.The candidates are advised to exercise options in Application Form carefully.The option/preference exercised by the Candidates and indicated on the Application form will be treated as FINAL and IRREVERSIBLE, Subsequent request for change of allocation/ service by candidates will not be entertained under any circumstances/ reasons. Provided that SC,ST, OBC and PH candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, alongwith candidates belonging to other communities, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies,Such SC,ST,OBC and PH candidates will be accommodated against the general/ unreserved vacancies as per their position in the overall Merit List. The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SCs, STS, OBCs and PH candidates which will thus comprise of SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates who are lower in merit than the last general candidate on merit list of unreserved category but otherwise found suitable for appointment even by relaxed standard.
