'Sweetest Love, I don't Goe' has been composed by John Donne, It is a very beautiful and wonderful poem. In this poem, the poet tells about his love and his beloved. Here the poet says that the person who loves anybody, cannot bear the sense of separation. He says that love teaches us how to live. A man is dull without love. A man has power to do anything when he loves someone. It can make the journey speedier than anything. He knows that death is sure but he wants to be happy. He gives the examples of the sun and feels that he can travel speedier than the sun because he has more wings and motives. He knows that the sun has neither desire nor sense but he has everything. He says that a man becomes weak when his fortune does not favor. He feels his beloved's sighing and weeping. He feels that his life-blood will decay if she keeps on shedding tears. He thinks that he has to die but he wants to become united with each- other and never wants to be parted. He says that love teaches us how to fight and go speedier. Here he uses hyperboles to show his great emotion.

'The Soldier' has been composed by Rupert Brooke. It is a good sonnet that is full of patriotism. Here the poet expresses his feelings on his country. He is a young warrior but he dislikes quarrelling. The poet is the handsomest young man in England. He is a soldier and he goes in the war. He thinks when he dies, he must be placed in a corner of the field in England. If he dies in foreign and his body is buried there, it would be also the place of England. He thinks so because his body of England is there. He praises England and everything of England. He says that his country has given him birth, made him matured and given rivers to wash, ways to move, flowers to love, blessings of the sun and fresh air to breathe etc. He wants that there should not be quarrelling. Everybody must not have evils in his mind. He does not like. He thinks if there is no war in England or in any other country then it will be like the heaven. He is proud of England and the gentleness of his Country- men. So we can say that the poet expresses his great love for his country. This poem is full of patriotism.

'Macavity: The Mystery Cat' is a humorous poem composed by T.S. Eliot. The poet describes the mischiefs of his cat in a mock heroic way. He express us the character of this cat that he is a tall thin and very clever cat. He is very smart that the poet defines him a hidden paw. When he commits crime, he never leaves behind any sign of crime. So, he is never caught red-handed by anyone. He goes everywhere within our reach but nobody knows its activity. He cheats and makes people fool. Wherever he goes he tries to steal something. He steals meat away from the meat case; drink milk and runs away. He is not supposed to be an ordinary criminal but it is a master criminal which cheat both human laws as well as natural laws. Even He has some accomplice. This is why the poet calls him a 'The Mystery Cat'.

'Fire Hymn'- has been composed by Keki N. Daruwala (K.N. Daruwala). In this poem, the poet expressed his views on the burning ghat that was on the bank of the river. He says that the ghat looked as if it were burning. The scene was very fearful, so the persons were frightened to see the cruelty of the redness of the fire. According to him, the fire burnt most of the parts of the dead body but left some parts. Those parts were half-burnt. The poet felt that it was the immoral behavior of the fire. After sometime, the poet began to repent to see the half- burnt parts when his father hinted to see them. Being a Parsi, he shouldn't send his son to the fire when he died but he did so because the tower of silence was very far from there. He had no means to send him there. At last, he became ready to do so. He considered fire as God so he prayed to God for his sin. He felt that he did it against his religion and he decided not to do that work again in future. After sometime, he felt that he was forgiven. So we can say that he has showed his religious sentiment in this poem.

'Snake' has been composed by D.H. Lawrence. In this poem, he described a snake. According to the poet, a snake came to water-trough to drink water. It was July and a very hot day. The poet was also thirsty, so he went there to take water. Suddenly he saw and stopped there. He waited there for some time. He began to enjoy the activities of the snake. The snake was yellow- brown cobra. It looked at him vaguely then began to sip water with straight mouth. It drank softly through its gums. After sometime, the poet thought of killing it because it was poisonous; but he did not decide to do it. After sometime, he hit it with a clumsy log. He thought that he was not cowardice and he did right. But after hearing the noises, he was perplexed. He thought that he did wrong. He should not hit it. So he regretted. It seemed to the poet like a king.
